Program terms
Effective August 14, 2026
Eligibility
- You must be 18 years or older.
- You must be a member of the Canadian Armed Forces (active Regular Force, reservist, veteran or retired), or a currently serving or licensed first responder in Canada: firefighter (career or volunteer), law enforcement, search & rescue, EMT or paramedic, medical doctor, or licensed nurse.
- One membership per person.
- Membership runs by program year. Veterans and retired members verify once. Active and serving members re-verify once a year, and everyone gets a fresh code each program year.
The benefit
- 10% off regular and sale items at SoftMoc, online and in all 125 stores across Canada, wherever the code is accepted.
- Some restrictions and exclusions may apply — the current exclusion list is shown at checkout and may change over time.
- Codes are single-use and personal to you. Expiry details are shown in your coupon email.
- You can request one code per program year. A short cooldown applies between requests; the current values are always shown on your status page.
- Codes are non-transferable, have no cash value, and can't be combined with certain other promotions or gift cards.
- SoftMoc may modify, pause or end the program with reasonable notice. Valid codes already issued are honoured through their expiry date.
Verification
To join, you either verify a work email address at your unit, service, department or health organization (we send a 6-digit code to that address), or you upload a credential: a CFOne card, Veteran's Service Card, VAC card or letter, Record of Service, pension statement, service or department ID, provincial professional registration, SAR membership, a recent pay statement, or a letter from your unit or service. Please do not upload your military ID card (NDI 10/20) — photographing it is restricted. We may approve, reject, or ask for more information at our discretion. Uploading false, altered, or someone else's documents — or misrepresenting your service or employment — is grounds for a permanent ban from the program.
Acceptable use
- Don't share, sell, publish or trade your code.
- Don't create multiple accounts.
- Don't use bots, scrapers or other automated access.
- Don't interfere with the security or normal operation of the service.
Enforcement
Violations may result in suspension or a permanent ban, voiding of unredeemed codes, and — where applicable — reversal of a redeemed discount. SoftMoc's decisions on fraud are final, but you can appeal by emailing heroes@softmoc.com — we'll review appeals in good faith.
Disclaimers & liability
SoftMoc Heroes is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoftMoc Inc. and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the program, and our total liability for any claim relating to the program is limited to the value of the discount that would have applied to your most recent order.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. The courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to the program. The program is operated by SoftMoc Inc. (Canada).
Privacy
Your information is handled per our privacy policy. Uploaded verification documents are held in a private, access-controlled storage bucket, readable only by you and our verification reviewers, and are removed once they're no longer needed for the decision, appeals and fraud controls described in that policy.
